We know that access to medicines is an important issue in this country, because many people don't have prescription drug coverage. In response, GlaxoSmithKline has developed a number of patient assistance programs and discount cards to provide prescription drug help to patients who take our medicines.
GSK assistance programs
Our patient assistance programs provide prescription medicines to low-income, uninsured patients free or at very low cost. GlaxoSmithKline operates several programs, including:
- Commitment to Access, which covers cancer treatments
- Bridges to Access, which covers other medicines for outpatients
- GSK Access, which provides free GlaxoSmithKline medicines to people enrolled in a Medicare drug plan who meet program requirements
GlaxoSmithKline was the first pharmaceutical company in the US to offer a card providing prescription drug help to low-income seniors and disabled people. In 2002, GlaxoSmithKline and six other pharmaceutical companies established the Together Rx card, which provided participating company's discounts on over 100 prescription medicines for low-income senior citizens who are eligible for Medicare.
Today, we're committed to improving the quality of human life and contributing to a better future for all. That's why we're working to help people who need prescription drug help. Meet members of the GlaxoSmithKline team who are helping callers every day with their prescription drug coverage questions and concerns.
